The iPhone Duo goes on sale on 23 October 2026 in the US, the UK and more than 70 other countries and regions, with 28 more following on 30 October. Here is every legitimate way to buy one, and which tends to work best when stock is tight.
1. Apple online, delivered
The simplest route: choose your storage and colour on apple.com, pay, and wait for delivery. Pre-orders opened on 16 October, and Apple showed estimated delivery dates at checkout. Those dates slip as demand builds.
Good for: people who are not in a hurry. Watch out for: delivery estimates that keep moving later.
2. Apple online, in-store pickup
Instead of delivery, choose pickup and select an Apple Store. If that store has the configuration you want, you can collect it, sometimes the same day. Each store holds its own stock and receives regular deliveries, so pickup availability can appear when online delivery dates look weeks away.
Good for: anyone who lives near an Apple Store and wants a phone soon. Watch out for: availability that lasts only minutes. This is where an automated stock alert helps.
3. Walking into an Apple Store
Apple Stores sell iPhones to walk-in customers, and you can see and try the iPhone Duo there. On launch day and in busy weeks, walk-in stock may be limited and queues are common. Reserving pickup online first is usually more reliable.
4. Carriers and network operators
Most major carriers sell the iPhone Duo, often with monthly plans or trade-in offers. Carriers have their own allocation, so they sometimes have stock when Apple does not.
Good for: people who already want a new contract. Watch out for: long contracts, add-on costs and promotional prices that rise later. Add up the full cost.
The iPhone Duo is eSIM-only, so make sure your carrier supports eSIM. All major carriers in most launch countries do.
5. Authorised resellers
Big electronics retailers sell iPhones at or near Apple's price, with normal returns and warranty. Early allocations tend to be small, but they are worth checking.
6. Marketplaces and resale
eBay and similar sites will have iPhone Duo listings, usually above retail in the first weeks. Read our guide to buying an iPhone Duo on eBay first. It covers scams and the protections that actually apply.
Which option is fastest?
In launch weeks, the honest answer is whichever place has a unit in your configuration when you look. Apple Store pickup is often the quickest way to get a phone at Apple's price, because stores restock independently and often. The difficulty is timing: you need to see the availability before someone else reserves it.
That is what iPhone Duo Finder does. Choose your country and store, and we email you as soon as it shows pickup stock:
- £5 for any iPhone Duo configuration, or
- £10 for your exact storage and colour.
It is a one-off fee for the alert service. It is not a reservation, and nobody can guarantee you a phone. iPhone Duo Finder is independent and not affiliated with Apple Inc.
Before you buy, wherever you buy
- Decide on storage first. You cannot upgrade iPhone storage later. See iPhone Duo colours and storage.
- Check trade-in values. Apple and carriers both offer trade-in, and the amounts differ.
- Sign in and save payment details ahead of time, so you can check out quickly when stock appears.
- Check the return policy. Buying direct from Apple or an authorised reseller gives you the standard return window, which marketplaces may not.
